If history is any indication, 2008 should be a big year for BarlowGirl. Their latest album “How Can We Be Silent” and hit single “Million Voices” have both been nominated for Dove Awards. The 39th Annual GMA Dove Award winners will be selected April 23.

Becca, Alyssa and Lauren Barlow broke onto the Christian music scene in 2004 and immediately made a name for themselves. Their first hit, “Never Alone,” was the longest running No. 1 song on Radio & Records’ Christian Hit Radio chart and Christian Rock chart. As a result, Barlow Girl was the best-selling new artist of 2004.

The Warthogs’ Christian Concert Night is Saturday July 19 and starts with the baseball game at 6 p.m. with the concert immediately following. FMyouth will meet at the church at 4:30 p.m.. Admission to the concert is $12. Bring a canned food item (preferably beef stew or tuna) for Crisis Control Ministry and receive a free ticket to a future Warthogs game.
